We asked each member of the group what they thought of Japan so far, and here’s what they said!
Ethan: It’s beautiful here, from the nature, to the architecture, to the temples and shrines.
Aaron: The food is almost always amazing, very flavorful and lots of new and interesting dishes.
Carson: The cities have great designs, from the best convenience stores I have ever seen to amazing food and shops on every street. Japan always has something interesting.🤔
Mara: the stark contrast between the ancient temples and extremely modern buildings has been so fascinating. This cities are exceptionally clean, and we have experienced so many new things, new foods, being quiet on trains, no trash cans, and so much more.
Chloe: Akihabra. I loved all the anime elements, it was like a my dream land. I had such a good time and would definitely go back!
Veronica: Akihabra was really fun, lots of interesting things to do and cool places to see.
Coraline: Akihabara as well, I enjoyed it a lot there and wish we had even more time to spend there.
Jack: Shibuya was a really cool experience, we found a really great ramen place and explored the district.
Fiona: It’s an absolute travesty that we didn’t visit the Tokyo National Museum for longer, it was huge!
Will: Thrifting in Hiroshima was a great experience, all the stores there have great clothes, vibes, and people.
Patrick: Shibuya was amazing, I found a great hole-in-the-wall ramen shop that Jack, Will, Mason, and I ate at. We also just explored an amazing part of Tokyo, I’m really happy we were able to experience the area.
Nevan: The amount and wide variety of vending machines and other automated services is truly a wonder to behold.
Nyzayah: The traditional parts and culture are my personal favorite part of Japan, it’s very beautiful.
Mason: Exploring Shibuya was a lot of fun. We found some nice stores, and we also found a ramen place that was really good.
We’ll post more updates on our adventures soon!
